Common Ground is the result of a community arts project which took place in 2005/2006 in North Kent. Curious Research and Film and Expressive Feat Productions were commisssioned by the North Kent Local Authority Arts Partnership (NKLAAP) to work with communities in Dartford, Swale, Gravesham and Medway. In three of the areas the communites built towering animated creatures designed by artists and in partnership with lead artist Steve Taylor of Four Fish Designs. The fourth community, Medway, developed its creature through dance and movement choreographed by Nina Atkinson of Loop Dance Company. The script was written by Bafta award winner Roy Apps.The soundtrack was written by Sarah Freestone (Violin) and recorded by the Lullingstone quartet.

Local people came up with the ideas and stories from which the script was created, and the community was involved in all aspects of the production. The Final DVD contains the full length 20 minute film and a making of doccumentary. Order full length film.
